Hamas Agrees to Release Israeli Hostages, Ready For Trump Negotiations

by | Oct 3, 2025

Hamas announced Friday it will release all Israeli hostages, alive and dead, and is ready to negotiate through mediators on President Trump’s Middle East peace plan. The group also said it would transfer Gaza’s administration to an independent Palestinian technocratic authority backed by national and regional support.

The statement followed Trump’s 20-point plan, unveiled Monday with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, calling for an end to Israel’s military campaign once both sides agree, with all hostages released within 72 hours and no forced displacement of Gazans.

Trump on Friday warned Hamas has until 6 p.m. Sunday to accept the proposal or face “all HELL, like no one has ever seen before.”

The Palestinian Authority praised Trump’s efforts and signaled support for reforms aimed at paving the way toward eventual Palestinian statehood.
