President Trump Endorses Ken Paxton for U.S. Senate in Texas

by | May 19, 2026

President Trump endorsed Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in the state’s upcoming U.S. Senate race, calling him an “America First Patriot” and “true MAGA Warrior” who has remained loyal to both him and the MAGA movement.

In a Truth Social post, President Trump praised Paxton’s record and said he would fight in the Senate to cut taxes and regulations, expand American energy production, secure the border, protect the Second Amendment, and strengthen election security.

President Trump also highlighted Paxton’s support for ending the Senate filibuster and backing the “Save America Act,” saying Republicans must act aggressively to stop Democrats from adding new states and expanding the Supreme Court. He contrasted Paxton with incumbent Sen. John Cornyn, saying Cornyn was slow to support him during his presidential campaigns despite the accomplishments of his first term.

President Trump said Paxton has endured years of political attacks but described him as “a Fighter” who “knows how to WIN,” adding that he has his “Complete and Total Endorsement” to become the next senator from Texas.
