Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund and President Vladimir Putin’s special representative for investment and economic cooperation, said Russia is considering joint projects involving both Chinese and American investors.

Dmitriev said RDIF is reviewing several potential projects that could include U.S. participation as part of Russia’s broader partnership with China.

“We’ve really seen significant interest from a number of American investors to enter into Russian and Chinese projects, including in the energy sector,” Dmitriev said, adding that President Trump’s recent visit to Beijing with a large business delegation signaled the United States “wants to cooperate in economic, investment, and business terms.”
