President-elect Donald Trump announced the nomination of Senator Marco Rubio of Florida as the next United States Secretary of State.

Marco Rubio was born in 1971 in Miami, Florida, to Cuban immigrants in pursuit of the American Dream. His father worked as a banquet bartender, while his mother balanced her time as a stay-at-home mom and a hotel maid.
