A California Superior Court has ordered attorney Kevin Morris, a financier of Hunter Biden often referred to as his “sugar brother,” to pay $50,000 in legal fees to former Trump aide Garrett Ziegler and the conservative research group Marco Polo.

The ruling closes a years-long dispute stemming from a 2022 phone call Morris believed was with a Democratic strategist discussing the Hunter Biden laptop.

Morris later accused Ziegler of impersonation and brought claims including harassment and emotional distress, but the case collapsed after he failed to provide evidence linking Ziegler to the call or produce a verified phone number in court proceedings.
