Ukraine Anti-Corruption Authorities Search Home of Zelenskyy Chief of Staff

by | Nov 28, 2025

Ukrainian anti-corruption agencies raided the home and office of Andriy Yermak, chief of staff to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as part of the ongoing investigation into a $100 million corruption scheme tied to the country’s energy sector. Yermak has since resigned from his position.

Yermak confirmed the searches in a Telegram post, saying investigators faced “no obstacles” and that he is fully cooperating with lawyers present.

The probe has intensified scrutiny on Zelenskyy’s inner circle. Two former Yermak deputies left government last year following financial investigations, while another deputy, Andrii Smyrnov, remains in his post despite ongoing bribery allegations.

Ukraine’s leadership has been directly affected by the expanding corruption probe with Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk resigning earlier this month and Justice Minister German Galushchenko formally removed from office after being suspended while investigators examined an alleged $100 million kickback scheme tied to the state-run nuclear agency Energoatom.
