RFK Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard join Trump’s transition team

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard, both former Democrats, have joined Donald Trump’s transition team, the Trump campaign confirmed.

“As President Trump’s broad coalition of supporters and endorsers expands across partisan lines, we are proud that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard have been added to the Trump/Vance Transition team,” senior adviser Brian Hughes said in a statement.

Kennedy, once a rival of Trump in the presidential race, and Gabbard, a former congresswoman from Hawaii who left the Democratic Party after her 2020 run, recently endorsed Trump. While their exact roles in the transition team are yet to be defined, their inclusion is seen as a notable bipartisan shift.

Gabbard, who endorsed Trump during a campaign stop in Detroit, will moderate a town hall in Wisconsin later this week and has been assisting Trump in debate preparations for his face-off with Kamala Harris in September.

Other key figures on the transition team include Trump's sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, Sen. JD Vance, and major donors like Linda McMahon and billionaire Howard Lutnick.

Kennedy, during an interview with Tucker Carlson, confirmed that Trump personally asked him to help select key officials for his administration should he win. After suspending his own campaign, Kennedy endorsed Trump and plans to remove himself from ballots where he might impact Trump’s chances.
