President Trump announced that King Charles III and Queen Camilla will travel to the United States for an official state visit scheduled from April 27 through April 30.
The visit will include a formal banquet dinner at the White House on the evening of April 28. The visit coincides with the 250th anniversary of the United States, which the president described as adding additional significance to the occasion as the country commemorates its founding.
President Trump said he looks forward to hosting the King, noting his respect for the British monarch and describing the upcoming visit as “terrific.”
