Former RNC chair Ronna McDaniel joins NBC News

Ronna McDaniel, who previously served as the chair of the Republican National Committee, has been announced as the latest addition to NBC News' lineup of contributors.

McDaniel is slated to make her first interview appearance since stepping down earlier this year on “Meet The Press” this Sunday.

Anticipated to contribute to NBC's election coverage, McDaniel will also be featured on the network's sister cable channel, MSNBC.

In a memo shared with a the New York Times, Carrie Budoff Brown, who leads political coverage at NBC stated “It couldn’t be a more important moment to have a voice like Ronna’s on the team.”
