On behalf of Bentley Media Group, which runs the online news service Just the News, America First Legal (AFL) filed a lawsuit against the Fulton County District Attorney's Office.
An investigative reporter sent Fulton County an open records request on January 11, 2024, requesting records of all meetings from January 1, 2021 to the present, between District Attorney Fani Willis, Special Prosecutor Nathan Wade, or any other member of the district attorney's office who met with White House or federal Department of Justice representatives in Georgia or the District of Columbia.
Following the request's receipt, Just the News received a letter on February 12th, 2024, informing them that “the Fulton County District Attorney does not maintain records responsive to your request… At this time, there are none.”
However, on January 25, 2024, the Fulton County District Attorney's office acknowledged in a hearing before the Superior Court that it had written two letters to the White House discussing “logistics and procedures.” In fact, the Fulton County attorney responded, “One written letter…well, there were two written letters,” in response to Judge McAfee's inquiry about the scope of the communications.
Fulton county apparently lied about these records, in an attempt to break the law and hide potentially damning evidence of the Biden Administration's involvement in the partisan and false indictment of President Donald J. Trump.
As a result of Fulton County's failure to turn over these documents, America First Legal is suing.
The DOJ and Biden White House were involved in the partisan indictment of President Trump, and the American people have a right to fully comprehend this.
