Investigative journalist Catherine Herridge reports that multiple credible sources say elements within the Intelligence Community, federal law enforcement, and Congress have targeted Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard’s Director’s Initiative Group, known as DIG, after the unit uncovered “uncomfortable facts and findings” that entrenched officials do not want made public.
According to Herridge’s reporting, the push has focused on efforts to “disband, dismantle or diminish the impact of the DIG and its work.”
Herridge said she confirmed through multiple sources that a DIG report examining Directed Energy Attacks, also known as Anomalous Health Incidents or AHIs, was completed and prepared for release weeks ago but is facing strong resistance within the Intelligence Community.
Gabbard launched a new review of the so-called Havana Syndrome following Herridge’s independent 2025 investigation, which reported that brain injuries affecting U.S. spies, diplomats, military personnel, and civilians are progressive and can lead to brain cell death and atrophy.
