President Trump filed a lawsuit against CBS on Thursday, alleging that the network aired a misleading interview with Kamala Harris, on its “60 Minutes” program in early October. The complaint, submitted to federal court in the Northern District of Texas, claims CBS presented two versions of Harris’s responses to a question about the Israel-Hamas conflict in Gaza.
According to the lawsuit, the version aired during the October 6 “60 Minutes” broadcast omitted a “word salad” response from Harris regarding the Biden administration’s influence on Israel’s conduct in the war.
The suit seeks a jury trial and demands approximately $10 billion in damages, alleging CBS violated a Texas law that prohibits deceptive business practices.
Trump has criticized CBS over the episode on the campaign trail, warning he may revoke the network’s broadcasting license if elected.
