French Police Raid Arab World Institute in Epstein-Linked Probe Into Jack Lang

by | Feb 16, 2026

French police searched the Arab World Institute in Paris as part of an investigation into former French culture minister Jack Lang and his connections to convicted U.S. sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, according to prosecutors.

France’s National Financial Prosecutor said the institute was among several locations raided after authorities opened a preliminary probe into Lang and his daughter, Caroline Lang, on suspicion of tax fraud following the release of Epstein-related documents in the United States.

Lang, who served as culture minister under late president Francois Mitterrand, resigned from the institute this month after leading the organization since 2013. He has said he was unaware of Epstein’s crimes despite corresponding with him between 2012 and 2019, more than a decade after Epstein’s conviction for soliciting prostitution from a minor.
