Georgia Attorney Reveals Fani Willis’ Confidential Meeting With Kamala Harris

by | Mar 6, 2024

Ashleigh Merchant, the attorney representing a Trump co-defendant, disclosed allegations of an affair between Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and her subordinate Nathan Wade. During her testimony, Merchant suggested that Willis may have met with Vice President Kamala Harris at some stage during her investigation into President Donald Trump.

During a Georgia Senate hearing probing Willis' alleged misconduct on Wednesday, Ashleigh Merchant referred to a White House guest list, revealing that Willis visited on February 28th, 2023. Merchant highlighted that Willis would have undergone rigorous screening procedures to arrange a meeting with Harris.

When asked if the meeting occurred before the indictment of Trump, Merchant confirmed, “Yes.”

When asked by the questioning attorney if there was any further explanation of why Ms. Willis was meeting with the vice president of the United States, Merchant said no, adding the mayor of Atlanta, Democrat Andre Dickens, was also present.

In her testimony, Merchant detailed a witness's account of the timeline of an affair between Willis and Wade. She mentioned that one person confirmed they encountered each other at a conference while Wade was still married, and according to his attorney, was still upset at what happened in the divorce.

When questioned if Terrence Bradley, Wade’s divorce attorney, and former law partner, endorsed his treatment of his ex-wife, Merchant responded, “He did not.”

This disclosure carries weight as Bradley has emerged as a key witness to claims that Willis and Wade provided false testimony about the timeline of their relationship. They asserted to the court that their romantic involvement began only after Willis appointed Wade to the Trump case. However, both Bradley and a former friend of Willis attest that the couple started their relationship in 2019, well before Wade's involvement in the case two years later.
