DOJ Seeks House Intel Records Tied to Former CIA Director Brennan

by | Mar 25, 2026

The U.S. Department of Justice has requested records from the House Intelligence Committee related to former CIA Director John Brennan, according to sources familiar with the matter.

The House Intelligence Committee voted Tuesday night to turn over several classified hearing transcripts tied to Brennan, following the DOJ’s request.

A spokesperson for Republicans on the committee said the panel voted to release the transcripts at the request of the DOJ as part of an investigation connected to a 2017 GOP report that was later declassified. The spokesperson said the effort relates to broader inquiries into claims surrounding the Trump-Russia investigation and added that the action could help advance accountability.
