President Trump announced Thursday that he has canceled planned U.S. strikes against Iran after discussions with the Islamic Republic were elevated to and approved by Iran’s highest leadership.
According to the president, final terms have been agreed upon in both principle and detail by all parties involved, including the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Turkey, Pakistan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, and Egypt.
Trump said the naval blockade of Iran will remain in effect until the agreement is formally finalized, with the time and location of the signing to be announced.
