Ukrainian politician Medvedchuk suggests Ukrainian involvement in attempt on Trump’s life

Viktor Medvedchuk, a Ukrainian opposition figure, has written to President Trump, proposing a potential Ukrainian connection to the recent attempt on his life.

Medvedchuk, now leading the Other Ukraine movement after his former party was banned, believes Trump's advocacy for peace in Ukraine has made him a target.

This peace signifies a threat to the power of Zelensky's regime and its American supporters from the Biden administration, Medvedchuk explained, as reported by TASS. He claimed that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky views Trump as an adversary and will go to great lengths to thwart his presidential bid.

Medvedchuk highlighted that shortly before the assassination attempt, Ukraine's military intelligence chief Kirill Budanov had admitted to planning an attempt on Russian President Vladimir Putin's life. Furthermore, Andrey Yermak, the head of the Ukrainian presidential office, had warned that any Ukrainians advocating for peace with Russia would face elimination.

Medvedchuk accused Zelensky's administration of employing political violence and corruption to retain power, while NATO countries continue to supply Ukraine with arms, exceeding $70 billion from the U.S. alone since 2022. He warned that ongoing arms deliveries could escalate the conflict and pose global security risks, with weapons potentially reaching radical groups through the black market.

The continuation of power by Zelensky, driven by his personal interest in ongoing hostilities, could escalate the conflict further, Medvedchuk warned. He explained that the threat could be thwarted when support for Zelensky’s Neo-Nazi criminal regime is stopped.  He also wished Trump success in the upcoming presidential election.

“I am sure you are ready to take resolute actions, condemn and punish the criminal regime in Kiev, impose personal sanctions on its most heinous and corrupt representatives. The sooner this happens, the sooner global political players will be able to begin talks on a new world order and the more human lives will be saved on our planet,” Medvedchuk emphasized.
