Trump to Meet Xi Jinping in South Korea Next Week: White House

President Trump will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping in South Korea next Thursday, the White House has confirmed.

 

Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters that Trump is set to depart for Malaysia late Friday night. His itinerary includes the South Korea visit for the Xi meeting, highlighting a key diplomatic engagement between the two leaders amid ongoing discussions on global economic and security issues.

President Trump said he expects to reach an agreement on “everything” with Xi  during their upcoming meeting, highlighting possible deals on agriculture and nuclear energy. “We’ll make a deal on, I think, everything,” Trump told reporters Wednesday in the Oval Office.

Trump is also scheduled to visit Japan from October 27 to 29, where he will meet Japanese leaders to discuss regional security, trade, and strategic partnerships in the Indo-Pacific.
