Trump Presses Drug Companies to Release Covid Data, Calls for Transparency

by | Sep 1, 2025

President Trump called on pharmaceutical companies and federal health agencies to release detailed data on the effectiveness of Covid drugs developed during the pandemic, questioning why results have not been fully shared with the public.

In a statement on Truth Social, Trump said he has seen “extraordinary” information from Pfizer and others but noted that the data has not been made public. “They show me GREAT numbers and results, but they don’t seem to be showing them to many others. I want them to show them NOW, to CDC and the public, and clear up this MESS, one way or the other,” he wrote.

Trump criticized the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for failing to resolve the debate over the success or failure of the drugs, adding that figures like Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are left trying to determine the truth without full access to the information.

Emphasizing his role in launching Operation Warp Speed, Trump said it was vital to know whether the initiative was as effective as many claimed. “I hope OPERATION WARP SPEED was as ‘BRILLIANT’ as many say it was. If not, we all want to know about it, and why???” he stated.
