Trump Calls on Middle Eastern Nations to Join Abraham Accords

by | Aug 7, 2025

President Trump, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Minister of Foreign Affairs for the United Arab Emirates Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan signs the Abraham Accords Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2020, on the South Lawn of the White House.

President Trump on Thursday urged Middle Eastern countries to enter the Abraham Accords following Israeli attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities.

“Now that the nuclear arsenal being ‘created’ by Iran has been totally OBLITERATED, it is very important to me that all Middle Eastern Countries join the Abraham Accords,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “This will insure PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

The message follows heightened international criticism of Israel’s continued presence in Gaza. Trump has pushed for an end to the conflict and negotiated an initial ceasefire earlier this year, though it ultimately collapsed.

The Abraham Accords, launched during Trump’s first term, led several Muslim-majority countries to normalize relations with Israel.
