Israel has signed multimillion-dollar contracts with American firms to boost its image in the United States and rebuild support that has sharply declined since the war in Gaza, according to filings under the Foreign Agents Registration Act. The government’s public diplomacy drive spans social media, Christian outreach, and AI-based influence operations.
The largest deal, a $6 million contract signed in August with Clock Tower X, a firm owned by former Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale, calls for producing thousands of pro-Israel videos and posts each month targeting young Americans on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Parscale’s campaign will run through Salem Media Network, a conservative Christian outlet, and aims to combat antisemitism while promoting pro-Israel narratives.
Other contracts include a $3 million campaign by Republican consultant Chad Schnitger’s Show Faith by Works to reach millions of churchgoers across the western U.S. using geofencing and “biblically based arguments” defending Israel. Additional deals involve SKDKnickerbocker—a firm linked to Democrats—tasked with running bot networks to amplify government messaging, and Targeted Communications Global to promote tourism through influencers.
A separate $1 million “Esther Project,” run by Bridges Partners and backed by Israel’s Foreign Ministry, recruits social-media influencers to post pro-Israel content. Internal Israeli documents describe AI as a “core tool” in new perception campaigns led by the government-backed group Voices for Israel, which operates AI-driven “technological war rooms” to track and counter criticism abroad.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry denied claims about geofencing and influencer payments, calling them part of a “broad and false disinformation campaign” against the country, and said its efforts are focused on countering misinformation and highlighting Hamas atrocities.
