FBI Interviews Wisconsin Election Official In 2020 Election Inquiry

by | May 8, 2026

An FBI agent recently interviewed Wisconsin Elections Commission deputy administrator Robert Kehoe as part of an inquiry focused on the 2020 presidential election, according to sources familiar with the matter.

Wisconsin has been one of several states central to disputes over the 2020 election results, particularly in areas such as Dane and Milwaukee counties, where absentee ballots played a major role during the COVID-19 pandemic. Some of those ballots remain preserved due to ongoing legal disputes, including a lawsuit filed against Milwaukee officials that has delayed routine destruction schedules for older election materials.

The U.S. Department of Justice is also involved in litigation with Wisconsin officials over access to voter information, with state authorities arguing the data is protected under state law.
