Top House Republicans have recently issued subpoenas for Biden business records associated with Devon Archer, Hunter Biden’s ex-business associate. These records pertain to “AlixPartners,” an entity believed to possess documents relevant to the Biden business dealings.

AlixPartners is a global advisory firm led by Simon Freakley. It's alleged that Freakley offered counseling to his children on the day of former President Donald Trump’s 2016 victory.

Archer stated that AlixPartners held documents that were of interest to House investigators during a transcribed interview in July 2023.

Archer gained significant attention during the impeachment inquiry for stating that Hunter Biden had put Joe Biden on speakerphone on several occasions with his business associates.

Archer's family maintains connections to investments made during Joe Biden's vice presidency, with his wife retaining his stake in BHR Partners, a Chinese investment fund that has invested billions globally.

Archer is expected to serve a prison sentence. In January, the Supreme Court rejected Archer's appeal for his involvement in defrauding the corporate arm of a Native American tribe.
