Trump appeals gag order and venue, intends to sue hush money judge

by | Apr 8, 2024

Lawyers for President Trump have filed a notice of appeal in his Manhattan criminal case, according to court records. The specific details of the filing are not immediately accessible, but a source informed CNN that it pertains to the gag order imposed on him, and the trial's venue.

Trump's legal team has previously challenged the gag order and sought a change of venue from Manhattan, citing the borough's predominantly liberal population.

Jury selection is scheduled to commence on April 15.

President Trump has also signaled his intention to file a lawsuit against the judge presiding over his New York hush money case.
