Trump to meet with former Japanese Prime Minister

by | Apr 23, 2024

President Trump will meet with former Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso, the deputy head of Japan’s ruling Liberal Democratic Party. The meeting will take place Tuesday at Trump Tower after Trump appears in court for his hush money trial.

In March, Trump hosted Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban at Mar-a-Lago. He also had separate phone conversations with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia and King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain.

Last week, Trump held talks with Polish President Andrzej Duda at Trump Tower, where NATO spending was discussed over dinner, as reported by the Trump campaign. Earlier this month, Trump also met with British Foreign Secretary David Cameron at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.

Trump has been meeting more frequently with foreign leaders, as they aim to strengthen ties ahead of this year’s presidential election.
