Trump Appoints William Pulte as Acting Director of National Intelligence

President Trump announced Tuesday that he is appointing William J. Pulte, the current director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA), to serve as Acting Director of National Intelligence.

 

In a Truth Social post, Trump praised Pulte’s experience overseeing some of the nation’s most sensitive financial matters, including the safety and soundness of U.S. housing markets.

Trump said Pulte will remain in his current roles at the FHFA and as chairman of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac while serving as acting DNI.
