Trump and Starmer Announce $350 Billion Tech Prosperity Deal

by | Sep 18, 2025

President Trump and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Thursday unveiled the “Tech Prosperity Deal,” a $350 billion investment package described as the largest of its kind in British history.

The plan is expected to create 15,000 jobs in the U.K. and fund the development of 12 advanced nuclear reactors to meet growing tech energy demands. Trump said the deal would also generate $50 billion in economic value for the U.S., creating up to 2,500 American jobs and powering 1.5 million homes.

Starmer said the agreement, backed by major firms including Nvidia, OpenAI, Google, and Salesforce, would be “life changing” for Britain. He described it as “the biggest investment package of its kind in British history, by a country mile.”

Trump called the deal “pretty amazing” and said it would advance quantum computing, fusion, 6G, and civil nuclear energy, while aligning both nations through deregulation and innovation.

Speaking from Chequers, the pair highlighted the “special relationship” between the U.S. and U.K. and noted that the two countries recorded $340 billion in trade last year. Starmer added, “It’s a win for both sides.”
