The Georgia Court of Appeals has provisionally set the oral arguments for Donald Trump's appeal regarding the disqualification ruling of Fani Willis for October, effectively ensuring that Trump will not face trial in the Georgia election case before the 2024 election.
According to a docket notice sent to the defense counsel, the oral arguments are tentatively scheduled for October 4. A calendar confirming the exact date of the oral arguments will be sent to the counsel of record.
Trump and his co-defendants are appealing the ruling that allowed District Attorney Fani Willis to remain on the case despite her romantic relationship with prosecutor Nathan Wade, who resigned following the ruling. Judge Scott McAfee has previously committed to keeping the case progressing while the appeal is pending.
