A Qatari delegation arrived in Tehran on Friday in coordination with the United States in an effort to help advance negotiations aimed at ending the war with Iran and resolving key outstanding issues, according to a source cited by Reuters.
The source said the team was sent “to reach a final deal that would end the war and address outstanding issues with Iran.” Doha had not taken an active role in the Iran negotiations until now.
A senior Iranian source told Reuters that gaps have narrowed, though disputes remain. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said there are “some good signs,” but cautioned it is too early to draw conclusions, noting developments will become clearer in the coming days.
