Nikki Haley says she’s voting for Trump in 2024

by | May 22, 2024

Nikki Haley announced on Wednesday that she will support Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election and urged him to work to earn the backing of her primary supporters.

Speaking at the Hudson Institute in Washington, Haley, Trump’s former U.N. ambassador, stated, “I will be voting for Trump.”

However, Haley emphasized that Trump needs to actively reach out to her supporters from the primary. “I stand by what I said in my suspension speech,” she remarked. “Trump would be smart to reach out to the millions of people who voted for me and continue to support me and not assume that they’re just going to be with him. And I genuinely hope he does that.”

Haley ended her campaign for the GOP nomination two months ago but had not immediately endorsed Trump. During the primary, both had been critical of each other.
