Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey is urging the Department of Justice to investigate whether Joe Biden’s cognitive decline enabled unelected staff to implement radical policies without his knowing approval. Bailey argues that if true, executive orders, pardons, and other actions issued under Biden would be unconstitutional and legally void.
In a letter to Inspector General Michael Horowitz, Bailey called for a full investigation into Biden’s mental state in his final days in office. He contends that administration officials may have taken advantage of Biden’s incapacity to push through policies without the oversight of a fully competent president.
Bailey suggests this could explain why Biden’s administration issued orders that were significantly more left-leaning than those of past presidents. If staffers indeed exploited Biden’s decline, he argues, those actions should be considered invalid.
