New York Attorney General Letitia James has been subpoenaed by a federal grand jury empaneled by the Albany U.S. Attorney’s Office as part of an investigation into her office’s $454 million civil fraud judgment against President Trump.
The subpoenas follow an FBI investigation into the case, prompting the Department of Justice to open the grand jury probe. A second subpoena reportedly targets James’s separate investigation into the National Rifle Association, according to The New York Times.
Attorney General Pam Bondi has also appointed special prosecutor Ed Martin to lead an investigation into allegations of mortgage fraud involving Senator Adam Schiff and New York Attorney General Letitia James, according to White House correspondent Peter Doocy.
