Large blast at military base in Iraq

Late on Friday, a significant explosion shook a military base utilized by Iraq's Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) south of Baghdad, according to two PMF and two security sources cited by Reuters.

The sources indicated that the blast, which occurred around midnight Friday, was the result of an unidentified airstrike. The targeted site was identified as a PMF headquarters located at the Kalso military base near the town of Iskandariya, approximately 50 km south of Baghdad.
