The Republican National Committee is anticipated to install Donald Trump's chosen leadership team on Friday at the RNC's winter meeting in Houston.
The team, hand-picked by Trump, includes Michael Whatley from the North Carolina Republican Party as the new national chairman and Lara Trump, the former president's daughter-in-law, as committee co-chairperson.
Whatley will succeed Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, who was appointed by Trump after his election in 2016. McDaniel announced her resignation following the Super Tuesday primaries, which occurred three days ago.
Lara Trump is anticipated to primarily focus on fundraising and media appearances.
According to the Associated Press, Chris LaCivita will take on the role of the committee's chief of staff and serve as one of Trump's campaign advisers.
LaCivita has pledged to implement significant staffing changes at the RNC to ensure it operates efficiently as an extension of the Trump campaign.
