Four senior aides from Joe Biden’s White House have agreed to testify before the House Oversight Committee as part of its investigation into how extensively Biden’s declining health was concealed during his presidency, a committee aide confirmed.
Neera Tanden, former director of the Domestic Policy Council, is scheduled for a June 24 appearance. Anthony Bernal, a former senior adviser to the First Lady, will testify on June 26. Ashley Williams, previously deputy director of Oval Office operations, is set for July 11, and former deputy chief of staff Annie Tomasini is expected on July 18.
Chairman James Comer initiated the inquiry in May amid rising concerns in Washington over Biden’s mental fitness. Last week, Comer subpoenaed Biden’s physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, after O’Connor declined to appear voluntarily. He is now scheduled to testify on June 27. The Senate is also planning a hearing on the issue next week.
Additional testimony has been requested from Michael Donilon, Anita Dunn, Bruce Reed, and Steve Ricchetti — all of whom held senior advisory roles in the Biden White House.
