Dr. Robert Redfield, former director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said in an interview that Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines should be removed from circulation due to unknown long-term risks.
The 74-year-old, who led the agency from 2018 to 2021, said he no longer recommends mRNA vaccines, calling protein-based vaccines like Novavax safer. Treating both long COVID patients and those with vaccine injuries, he said “spike protein is a very immunotoxic protein” and noted that recovery is slower for vaccine injury patients than for long COVID patients.
Redfield also said regulators recently linked at least 10 child deaths to COVID-19 vaccination. He stressed that most children experience mild or no symptoms and that vaccines do not prevent infection or transmission.
