Elon Musk’s America PAC disclosed roughly $800,000 in its first independent expenditures of the 2026 general election, targeting key House and Senate races across the country.
The super PAC spent more than $247,000 in Texas, where Republicans are expected to deploy significant resources to support Attorney General Ken Paxton against Democrat James Talarico. America PAC also targeted Senate races in Maine, Ohio, New Hampshire, Iowa, Michigan and Alaska, along with nearly $90,000 across eight House races.
The spending was disclosed days after Musk met with House Speaker Mike Johnson in Texas. Republicans already hold a significant fundraising advantage over Democrats, including roughly $400 million held by President Trump’s MAGA Inc. super PAC.
Musk spent roughly $290 million supporting Trump and Republicans during the 2024 election cycle, primarily through his super PAC, making him the largest individual donor to a political committee that cycle. He has reportedly considered spending at least $100 million through America PAC to help Republicans in the midterms.
