Elon Musk to Attend Trump Rally in Butler, Pennsylvania

by | Oct 4, 2024

Elon Musk announced late Thursday that he will attend President Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, marking the president’s return to the town where he survived an assassination attempt in July.

“I will be there to support!” Musk responded to a post by Trump on the social media platform X.

Musk, CEO of Tesla and owner of X, praised Trump as “tough” and officially endorsed him immediately following the July 13 assassination attempt in Butler, signaling Musk’s growing alignment with right-wing politics.

The rally is set to take place at the same location where Trump was grazed in the ear and one attendee was killed during the attack. The assailant, 20-year-old Thomas Crooks, was shot and killed by a Secret Service sniper.
