Crash site of Iranian President located, Raisi confirmed dead

The helicopter that went down in Iran on Sunday transporting Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has been located by search teams, according to a report from the state news agency IRNA early Monday.

Iranian state television said Monday there is “no sign of life” seen at the crash site of a helicopter that was carrying President Ebrahim Raisi and others.

Update: According to Mehr News Agency, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has died. The crash also claimed the life of Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and other officials on board.
