Cohen admits to stealing from the Trump organization

by | May 20, 2024

During cross-examination by Trump attorney Todd Blanche, Michael Cohen admitted to stealing $30,000 from the Trump Organization.

Cohen acknowledged that he requested a reimbursement of $50,000 from the company to pay Red Finch, a tech vendor hired during the 2016 election. However, Cohen only paid the vendor around $20,000, keeping the remaining amount for himself.

“You stole it from the Trump Organization?” Blanche questioned Cohen about the $30,000 gap in the payment.

“Yes, sir,” Cohen answered.

His total theft from the Trump Organization apparently amounted to $60,000, with the sum being doubled to cover potential taxes Cohen might owe.

Blanche also elicited from Cohen that he had told “multiple prosecutors” about this theft but had never pleaded guilty to it nor repaid the money.
