RNC to hire Battleground State Election Integrity Councils

by | Mar 29, 2024

The Republican National Committee is ramping up its efforts to ensure free and fair elections by hiring election integrity councils and directors in every battleground state ahead of the upcoming presidential election. RNC Chair Michael Whatley announced this initiative during an appearance on Breitbart News Daily.

When asked about ensuring confidence in the counting of votes in November, Whatley outlined “two components” to address the issue.

The RNC chair outlined the two components as follows: “Number one, you got to get out the vote. Number two, you have to protect the ballot, and we absolutely are focused on making sure that we have election integrity around the country.” He elaborated that the RNC is actively ensuring that laws, rules, and regulations are established in every state to facilitate fair elections. They are collaborating with legislators, boards of elections, and secretaries of state to achieve this goal.

Whatley stated that in instances where they don’t have these things established they would be taking the issues to the courts. He explained that the RNC is now in 80 lawsuits in 24 different states, to ensure the rules allow for fair elections and that the states are going to follow said rules.

Whatley added that the RNC is winning cases all around the country, emphasizing ‘the second big thing’ for election integrity is the need for tens of thousands of volunteers of observers and attorneys in every room where votes are being cast and counted across the country. He stated that the RNC is actively in the field recruiting and training so that these volunteers can be in place on Election Day.

When pressed about a more “offensive” move, Whatley said the RNC is in the process of hiring election integrity directors and councils in every single battleground state to start putting these teams together.
