Vivek Ramaswamy secured the Republican nomination for Ohio governor with backing from President Trump. In Indiana, Trump-backed challengers unseated multiple GOP incumbents who opposed a redistricting effort, as his endorsements continue shaping GOP primaries.

In Indiana, Trump’s support also proved decisive in down-ballot races, where at least five Republican challengers defeated incumbent state senators who had helped block a proposed redistricting plan. The endorsements backed candidates including Blake Fiechter, Tracey Powell, Paula Copenhaver, Brenda Wilson, Michelle Davis, and Jeff Ellington.

Wilson lost her race to state Sen. Greg Goode, while Copenhaver’s contest remained too close to call as of Wednesday morning.
