Ohio Flags Suspected Voter Fraud Across Multiple States in Election Integrity Investigation

by | Jun 3, 2025

Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose on Tuesday referred dozens of noncitizen registrants and double voters for potential prosecution in eight states and Washington, D.C., as part of a sweeping probe conducted by Ohio’s Election Integrity Unit.

Along with instances in Ohio, the investigation also uncovered individuals from Virginia, Arizona, Colorado, District of Columbia, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, and South Carolina who appeared to have voted in multiple jurisdictions.

“We must send a clear message that election fraud won’t be tolerated,” LaRose said, warning that even a single illegal vote can alter an election’s outcome. Letters were sent to attorneys general in all states involved, urging prosecution.

The move comes on the heels of a lawsuit by President Trump’s Justice Department against North Carolina, accusing the state of violating the Help America Vote Act (HAVA). The DOJ claims the state failed to ensure voters provided required ID information on registration forms, allowing a significant number of potentially ineligible voters onto the rolls.
