Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shared a statement from his Likud party alleging election fraud in Israel’s October 27 election and calling for an immediate investigation.
According to the statement, Likud accused ‘Arab parties’ of supporting terrorism and attempting to undermine the Israeli state through alleged bribery, threats, violence, forgery and the use of prohibited software to mobilize voters. The party said it was submitting evidence to security and election authorities.
“This is a serious blow to Israeli democracy and the voting rights of Israeli citizens,” the statement said, urging law enforcement agencies to take immediate action against those accused of wrongdoing. A Central Elections Committee official dismissed claims of election fraud.
With more than 85% of the ballots counted from Israel’s October 27, 2026, Knesset election, neither major bloc has secured a majority. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s right-wing and religious alliance is projected at about 53 seats, while the rival bloc led by former military chief Gadi Eisenkot stands at roughly 48 seats in the 120-member parliament. Arab parties have surged to around 19 seats. Both sides remain well short of the 61 seats needed to form a government.
