Nathan Wade, the lead prosecutor in the Fulton County election interference case against President Trump and his co-defendants, has resigned in the wake of a ruling by the presiding judge.

Wade's resignation occurred shortly after Judge Scott McAfee decided not to directly disqualify Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis. However, the judge ruled that either she or Wade must recuse themselves from the case.
