White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt will leave her post at the end of the month to spend more time with her young children and family, President Trump announced Wednesday.

Trump said Leavitt will continue as one of his top outside advisors and remain an influential voice in the Republican Party as the midterms approach.

The president praised her as a real leader who has done a phenomenal job fighting for justice, liberty, and freedom, calling her one of the best White House press secretaries in the history of the office.
