The House Committees on Oversight and Accountability, Judiciary, and Ways and Means have released a report on their impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden, concluding that he committed impeachable offenses. The report outlines evidence that Biden abused his office and violated his oath as Vice President by engaging in a conspiracy to peddle influence for the financial gain of his family. It also accuses the Biden-Harris Administration of obstructing the House’s impeachment inquiry and the criminal investigation of Hunter Biden.
“President Biden’s legacy is marked by abuse of public office, corruption, and obstruction,” said House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.). “The evidence produced by our impeachment inquiry is the strongest case for impeachment of a sitting president the House of Representatives has ever investigated. Americans now know Joe Biden was ‘the brand’ the Bidens sold around the world to enrich the Biden family, and Joe Biden knew of, benefitted from, and participated in his family’s influence-peddling schemes. Throughout our impeachment inquiry, the Biden-Harris Administration has sought to obstruct us every step of the way. Despite this obstruction, we have exposed the truth to the American people, and they now know the extent of President Biden’s corruption.”
House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) added:
“Our impeachment inquiry shows conclusively that Joe Biden abused his public office for the private financial benefit of the Biden family and Biden business associates. The facts speak for themselves, and Democrats can no longer stretch the truth to cover for President Biden. As Democrats celebrate Joe Biden and crown Kamala Harris as his heir apparent this week, Americans should remember the reality of the Biden-Harris Administration: crime, chaos, and corruption.”
House Ways and Means Chairman Jason Smith (R-Mo.) emphasized the scale of the allegations, stating:
“The Biden-Harris Administration has lied to the American people time and again to cover up and obstruct the investigation into tax crimes committed by a Biden family business enterprise that capitalized on political power. The American people have been shocked to learn the magnitude of the scheme going back to the President’s time as Vice President, when Biden family members were allowed to use Air Force Two as their own private business jet. None of this would have come to light had it not been for the two IRS whistleblowers who were tired of watching their investigation into the President’s son become obstructed, delayed, and denied the ability to move forward as the pursuit of truth demanded. Their testimony in the face of political interference has stood up under scrutiny at every step.”
Key findings from the impeachment inquiry report include:
– Financial Gains from Foreign Entities: From 2014 onward, as part of a conspiracy to monetize Joe Biden’s public office, Biden family members and associates received over $27 million from foreign individuals or entities. To obscure the sources of these funds, the family and their associates created shell companies. The Biden family used the proceeds to provide hundreds of thousands of dollars to Joe Biden, including funds traceable to China. While Jim Biden claimed this money was repayment for personal loans, he provided no evidence to support this claim.
– Influence Peddling: Joe Biden used his status as Vice President to secure favorable outcomes for his son’s and business partners’ foreign dealings. Hunter Biden involved his father in numerous business engagements with individuals and companies from Russia, Romania, China, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine, resulting in millions of dollars in payments to the Biden family.
– Un repaid Loans: The Biden family leveraged Joe Biden’s positions of public trust to obtain over $8 million in loans from Democratic benefactors. Many of these loans remain unpaid, and supporting documentation is either missing or has not been produced, raising concerns that these funds were gifts disguised as loans.
– Special Treatment for Hunter Biden: Under the Biden Administration, the Justice Department and FBI provided special treatment to Hunter Biden. The investigation was slow-walked, defense counsel was informed of future investigative actions, and investigators were prevented from taking standard steps. These tactics benefited Hunter Biden and conflicted with standard procedures.
– Misleading Congress: The Biden Justice Department misled Congress about the independence of law enforcement in Hunter Biden’s criminal investigation. Political appointees exercised significant control, with U.S. Attorney David Weiss needing approval from other U.S. Attorneys and the Biden DOJ’s Tax Division to pursue charges against Hunter Biden.
– Obstruction of the Inquiry: The White House obstructed the impeachment inquiry by withholding key documents and witnesses. It impeded investigations into President Biden’s unlawful retention of classified documents, refused interviews with relevant witnesses, and asserted executive privilege over audio recordings from Special Counsel Hur’s interviews with Biden. Additionally, the White House blocked the National Archives from turning over essential documents to the Committees.
