Don Lemon Arrested, Grand Jury Empaneled After Minnesota Church Protest

by | Jan 30, 2026

Former CNN host Don Lemon was arrested Thursday night by federal agents in Los Angeles, nearly two weeks after an anti-immigration protest that disrupted a church service in St. Paul, Minnesota. A federal grand jury was empaneled the same day.

The FBI and Homeland Security Investigations were involved in the arrest. Attorney General Pam Bondi said Lemon and three others were arrested in connection with a coordinated attack on Cities Church. A source cited by CBS News says Lemon faces conspiracy and FACE Act charges tied to interference with others’ civil rights.
