by | Jan 31, 2025

Former Meet the Press moderator Chuck Todd announced Friday that he is leaving NBC News after 18 years at the network.

According to the outlet, Todd is leaving to pursue other ventures and had been in discussions with other news organizations in recent weeks as his contract neared its expiration.

Todd said his Chuck Toddcast will be “coming with me” when he departs and hinted at an upcoming announcement regarding its new platform.

Todd joined NBC News in 2007 as political director, became the network’s chief White House correspondent the following year, and began hosting Meet the Press in 2014. He stepped down as moderator in 2023, with Kristen Welker taking over, but remained with the network until now.
