The Manhattan district attorney's office has moved to broaden the gag order against President Trump, aiming to prevent him from targeting family members of individuals connected to the New York hush money case.
DA Alvin Bragg contended in a court filing on Monday that the judge should specify or reaffirm whether the gag order extends to safeguarding the family members of those referenced in the order, including prosecutors and court staff.
Trump's attorneys opposed the motion in a filing on Monday, asserting that the presumptive Republican presidential nominee has not breached the gag order and that broadening it would worsen the current and ongoing constitutional infringements that the order imposes. They contend that the gag order does not encompass family members of the court and the DA.
